..it has never seemed important or even possible to me to talk about the aesthetics of my jewellery.
One always feels obliged to make a witty and brilliant summary of the intention, the meaning, of a piece of jewellery.
I have realized that my own mental processes are very difficult to define.
About myself, I can say that I have no obsession with being original or super-modern.
For me, innovation does not mean abandoning the classical form.

Inspiration taken from Neolithic statuettes depicting female figures known as MOTHER GODDESS.
After these earrings came to light, I saw that I made my own interpretation of the prehistoric statuettes, representing the Dea Madre.
I am absolutely captivated by these statuettes.
Of all the legacy of prehistoric art, the statues of the Mother Goddess are, for me, probably the most fascinating.
The cultural significance of these statuettes may never be known. What were they intended to represent?
They are certainly proof of the crucial and fundamental role of women in prehistory. And that male centrality is not, and has not been, natural or universal.
My travels and my interest in archaeology led me to discover the existence of statuettes representing Dea Mothers. This has led me to realize that, unconsciously, I myself sculpt women. Is it because I am a woman? Is that what prehistoric women did?
The perfect future family heirloom that promises to be timeless.
