Found, centuries later, buried in the depths of the earth.

Or lost, due to some war or natural catastrophe.

Crushed by the weight of the earth and trampled by walkers and animals.

When I make my jewellery, I always leave room for chance to act.

I don't like symmetry, or uniform numbers, or the perfection of machines.

This was a painful exercise.

Taking my gold flowers, which I modelled very carefully and crushing them until they deformed and sometimes broke.

I suffered a lot. It is an action against instinct.

There is beauty in things that are broken, crushed, dented, old, defeated.
